NOTAM 050622: New Routes Added

Island Air Virtual is pleased to announce the addition of 114 new routes added to the schedule as part of our Caribbean Airlines routes. These scheduled flights are operated primarily with the Boeing 737-800, Dash Q400, and Embraer 175 aircraft in our fleet. The routes will connect the mainland USA with the the Caribbean islands, as well as few routes to/from Mexico. Enjoy!

With the addition of these routes, this opens up almost all of the routes in the Caribbean, with the exception of the Bahamas. We are currently in the process of converting the Bahamas Air routes for use with our fleet and will soon be adding these as well, so stay tuned for that announcement once those are available in the near future! A vast majority of the airports in this region are already available for charter routes within our SmartCars and can be created manually. Should you wish to create your own routes while our schedule is being updated, you have the ability to do so. Please remember to try and make any routes as realistic as possible (i.e. you wouldn't normally landing a 737 at an airport with a 2500' runway). We are leaving this function active for our pilots to help bridge any gaps in the schedule or to simply help our pilots make this VA work with your desired flight planning for this area. If you would like a certain route to be added to the schedule, please feel free to send your suggestions to ceo@islandairvirtual.com for consideration.

Also keep an eye out for some landing contests coming up in the near future. We want ot make this a fun VA for everyone and who doesn't want to go for bragging rights when showing off thier skills???

Lastly, thanks for everyone's patience as we work to build this new VA from scratch and it clearly is a work in progress. We hope we can make it everything you hope for in a VA!
